There are 7 million psoriasis patients in China, of which more than 1 million are children's psoriasis. In order to standardize the diagnosis and treatment of children's psoriasis in China, guide clinical dermatologists to make rational use of drugs, and benefit children with psoriasis in China, on May 30, 2020, the online kick-off meeting for the compilation of China's guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of children's psoriasis hosted by Anhui pirui Dermatology Research Institute and Xi'an YANGSEN company was successfully held The guidelines will be jointly compiled by more than 20 experts with authority and rich experience in clinical diagnosis, treatment and basic research of psoriasis and children's psoriasis organized by psoriasis special committee and children's special committee of Dermatology and Venereology branch of Chinese Medical Association, aiming to develop a practical, operable and Chinese characteristic diagnosis and treatment guidelines for children's psoriasis.

Professor Zhang Xuejun, director of the International Association of psoriasis Society (IPC), international coordinator of psoriasis surveillance (GPA), head of psoriasis group of China Medical Association, and director of the 2018 edition of the guide to the diagnosis and treatment of psoriasis in China, said that the incidence rate of psoriasis among children and adolescents has been increasing in recent years, compared with adult psoriasis. Psoriasis in children has its own characteristics, It is easy to be misdiagnosed, and due to the younger age of the disease, the safety and effectiveness of drugs should be fully considered in the selection of treatment methods. Treatment cannot be completely equivalent to adult psoriasis. However, at present, there is a lack of diagnosis and treatment guidelines for children psoriasis in China, which makes professional doctors not suitable. Therefore, the etiology and pathogenesis, diagnosis and classification, and Western treatment of children psoriasis should be considered It is necessary to compile a comprehensive and systematic diagnosis and treatment guide for children's psoriasis, including therapy, diagnosis and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine, medical education and prevention.

Professor Zhang Xibao, consultant of psoriasis group (Special Committee) of Dermatology and Venereology branch of Chinese Medical Association, director of Dermatology Research Institute of Guangzhou Medical University, as the host of the kick-off meeting and the Secretary-General of the guide, first made clear several key points for the preparation of the guide: 1. What kind of evidence-based medical evidence classification standard should be adopted; 2. Supplement and modify the preliminary guide catalogue; 3. Division of labor among Editorial Committees Model, specific division of labor, the approximate number of words in the guide, etc.

Other experts from the editorial board also put forward their own opinions on the compilation of guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of psoriasis in China. Professor Ma Lin, head of the school of pediatric and special diseases (CVD), the Chinese Medical Association's dermatology and Venerology branch, pointed out that the incidence rate of psoriasis in children has gradually increased in recent years. Nearly 50% of psoriatic patients have been in childhood. The preparation of guidelines for psoriasis in children is very meaningful. It's also necessary. However, at this stage, there is not much evidence-based medicine for children's psoriasis, and there are relatively few epidemiological data about children's psoriasis. The existing cases of psoriasis in children in China can be summarized to preliminarily explore the prevalence of psoriasis in China and form articles so as to make the guidelines more persuasive; Professor Zheng Min, director of the international psoriasis Association (IPC) and deputy leader of the psoriasis group (Special Committee) of the dermatology and Venereology branch of the Chinese Medical Association, pointed out that the preparation of the guidelines needs to be noted The most important problem of evidence classification is to list all the references of RCT research through literature review. Professor Zhang Chunlei pointed out that in the process of compiling the guide, we should refer to the documents and materials with high evidence classification according to the internationally recognized evidence-based medicine evidence classification. At the same time, we should take the published children's psoriasis guidelines of other countries and regions as a reference, and combine with China's national conditions to formulate the children's psoriasis guidelines with Chinese characteristics. There is still a lack of epidemiological data such as the prevalence of children's psoriasis in China. You can contact the domestic children's centers with large databases to summarize the data of children's psoriasis, initially obtain the prevalence of children's psoriasis, supplement the vacancy of epidemiological data of children's psoriasis, and provide important data reference for the compilation of the guide. Professor Cui Yong, vice president of China Japan Friendship Hospital and head of dermatology department, also suggests that In addition, Professor Li Yuzhen, Professor Zhang Chunlei, Professor Shi Yuling, Professor Yao Zhirong of Shanghai Xinhua Hospital, and every expert attending the meeting also put forward their own opinions on the compilation of the guide.

This meeting kicked off the preparation of the guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of psoriasis in children in China. In the next step, each expert will concentrate on the study, jointly select the grading standards of evidence-based medical evidence of the guidelines, supplement and revise the preliminary guidance catalogue, propose their intention to prepare chapters, further clarify the details of the division of labor, and start the formal preparation of the guidelines. At last, Professor Zhang Xuejun pointed out that he hoped that the experts could complete the task within the specified time node conscientiously, responsibly, with high quality and efficiency, and play a positive role in promoting the prevention and treatment of psoriasis in Chinese children, benefiting the majority of children with psoriasis in China.
